The brides and first guests arrive! From the airport, the guests will be taken to their villas within the gated community of Vistas Del Lago. Food will be prepared at the villas prior to arrivals.

We are so excited to have our second group of guests arrive this day! We cannot wait to see everyone. There will be activities throughout this day for the guests who are already in Costa Rica. For those arriving later in the day, we will have dinner waiting for you!

Let’s take the day to unwind and enjoy some peaceful moments together. Whoever wishes to join us can meet us at Casa Zen at 10am where we will take a short stroll over to the river for a relaxing yoga and sound bath experience. Free!

Please join us at Casa 31 at 4:00 pm for a hands-on cooking class where we will learn to prepare delicious traditional Costa Rican dishes and then enjoy an early dinner together! Free!

Please join us at our “we do bbq” to honor the brides and the guests! There will be music, food, drinks, swimming & more! Feel free to bring your bathing suits and your dance moves.

There is one hiking trail within Tenorio Volcano National Park which brings you past a multitude of wonders, but ultimately to the brilliant blue Rio Celeste. This semi-challenging trail is 3.7 miles in total. From the ranger station to the waterfall turnoff, the trail is relatively flat and paved (about twenty minutes). here is where you can see the waterfall from the top of the stairs and decide if you wish to continue the hike or head back to the ranger station, restaurant or fresh fruit stand across the street! Beyond that, the remainder of the hike is unpaved. Once you reach the turnoff point to the waterfall, you’ll need to descend a series of about 250 steep paved stairs. It’s a bit of a challenge on the return ascent, but it’s worth it! Just stop, breathe, and enjoy the scenery – often. From Vistas del Lago to Rio Celeste, it's about a 1.5 hour drive through beautiful, rolling Costa Rican hills. This is an early morning departure of 7am so we can come back and relax before the rehearsal dinner! After the waterfall, we can continue on to Laguna Azul, see (and smell!) some bubbling geothermal activity, El Teñidero (where 2 rivers meet) (which is usually a great place to see coatamundi!) & more! Single-use plastics are not permitted in the park, so don’t forget your reusable water bottle! Bring good walking shoes, sunscreen, bug repellent, LIGHT rain jacket, swimsuit for the natural springs nearby if we have time, & a towel! Since Rio Celeste is in Tenorio Volcano National Park, you'll need to present your passport for entry. Cost for this activity is $20, and includes bus or mini van transportation (depending on the number of hikers).

Everyone is welcome! Feel free to bring your bathing suits and head over to where the brides are staying! Transportation will be provided for all guests staying at Vistas Del Lago. The vans will start picking guests up at around 4-4:15.

Time to celebrate our love story! We cannot wait to celebrate with you all. Transportation is provided for all guests from Vistas Del Lago. Vans will begin picking up guests around 3pm.

Let's enjoy a day together celebrating THE BRIDES! If you're only planning to do one excursion, make it this one! Transportation will be provided from Vistas Del Lago to Puerto San Luis (site of the wedding reception!), where we'll board the Tucan Arenal for the approx. 1:45 journey across the lake. Breakfast/drinks/Alka Seltzer/hangover cures (mmmmm, chiliguaro shots!) will be provided by the amazing Tucan Arenal owners, Arley & Nancy. Prior to landing, and if time permits, we'll anchor and enjoy the water slides and diving platform. Once we reach the landing area, we'll board the bus for the 25 minute drive to The Springs Resort. Note: The Hot Springs Day Pass - $110 is required when doing any of the add on activities! This pass provides access to all of the pools and hot springs at the resort, including the Club Rio Springs, which you can visit with this pass, even if you don't want to add in any of the adventures! So, at a minimum, you have to buy this pass. Then, you can select one of the add-on adventures from the Club Rio Adventure Center. This is one of our favorite places when we visit CR! It's located along a stunning section of the Arenal River and is a wonderful place for river adventures or just to relax, eat lunch, have a cocktail, and experience the secluded, natural hot springs just a few feet away from the river's edge (which are included with your Hot Springs Pass!) The adventure add-ons at Club Rio include: * River Tubing - a mile long, super fun ride down Class I and Class II rapids with great guides (price includes 2 x down the river!) - $48/person * Wildlife Sanctuary - this wildlife sanctuary helps to support the mission of the Costa Rican Environmental Ministry. The 30 - 40 minute tour is led by trained guides who take the time to educate visitors about the animals in their care. Cost is $25.00/person. * Horseback Riding - enjoy a 1 hour horseback ride for all levels through scenic forest trails and along the Arenal River. Cost is $58/person. Please note that the Springs Day Passes and the Club Rio adventures all need to be booked in advance so please let us know what activities you want to experience! After our amazing time at The Springs, we'll board the bus and head back to Tucan Arenal. For the return trip across the lake, tacos, burritos, special snacks, and drinks will be provided. If we're up for it, there will also be a DJ and Karaoke onboard!

There are so many amazing things to do in Costa Rica. If you found your own Costa Rican adventure that you would like to do, please reach out to our transportation coordinators who can help arrange that for you! We recommend the hanging bridges, rafting, waterfall repelling, jungle night walks, sloth tours, and/or coffee and chocolate tours! Most of these activities are available in the town about 1-1.5 hours away called La Fortuna.
